Accessibility for winter’s bloom

We were recently given some feedback for winter’s bloom that has made us think about the ways we present and circulate the content published on this platform. As avid readers and writers, we took our eyes for granted. We forgot that not everyone can, or prefers, to read (for various reasons). After some back and forth over the past few days, we decided to take this opportunity to announce a few different audio options that we are making time and space for on winter’s bloom.

We host a podcast called winter’s bloom talks, with eight episodes at the moment. This podcast is an extension of winter’s bloom and features candid conversations between Sophia and Natasha.

We have just started offering a second podcast called winter’s bloom out-loud which consists of audio versions of blog posts. The first episode is an audio recording of this post.

Both podcasts will be published in the same feed and can be found through our Anchor platform, as well as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts. Simply go to wherever you prefer to stream your audio content, and subscribe. Both podcasts will then automatically appear in your favorite listening app. Just keep an eye out for the different cover art, and you are set!

As we grow we want to stay as accessible as possible. We hope these podcasts will enhance your experience of winter’s bloom. Please let us know how you find our podcasts (both winter’s bloom talks and winter’s bloom out-loud), and let us know if there is anything else we can do to remain available and accessible to all of you.

Love always,
Natasha and Sophia xx
