I have to learn to hold the light for myself otherwise, I am addicted: to love, to longing, to someone else’s vision of me. My heavy inheritance does not have to spell out co-dependency. I have to learn to hold the light for myself. I might call it friendship or relationship, but if it is all God I have to learn to hold the light for myself. The sky is here and the sun is shining, the breeze that sways the leaves and tells me of aliveness of alrightness of trust in the greater scheme of Life. The light is here to see to hold to be to write to speak. no need to learn to hold the light for myself the light is here I am the light.
About the author: I am from Cyprus, but live with my husband, dog and three chickens in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. My writing brings together my personal/ecological/spiritual perspectives, and explores a deeper, more intimate and more harmonious way of being in the world which honors both the human animal vulnerability, and our interdependence with the more-than-human world. One of my dreams is to publish a book; another is to live in the country raising children, goats and an alpaca named Albert.
